Lieutenant General (ret.) Timo Rotonen is the Executive Advisor of XD Solutions. He has a remarkably wide experience in the Finnish Defence Forces from several top-level positions linked to military logistics, materiel projects & procurement, strategic partnership, security of supply, and defence industry, with more than 40 years of experience. Currently Rotonen is a member of board in two strategic partner companies, providing services to the Finnish Defence Forces.

In his years in service, he has held various positions in GBAD, in materiel and logistics units and HQs. He has twice served in UN missions, on the Balkans and in the Middle East.

He was appointed COS Defence Forces Materiel Command HQ in 2006. While running a large staff, Rotonen was also managing two major reforms. They were the reorganisation of the Army logistics structure and the outsourcing of technical maintenance services.  

Assigned in 2015, he served as the first Director General of the Defence Forces Logistics Command. The command was established a new joint type of logistics organisation in the FDF defence reform in 2015.
